Sambucol Black Elderberry

I have heard that this is really good for your immune system. Does anyone know anything about this and if so can you share what you do know? I would also like to know what other vitamins/minerals are good to take for immune systems.

Folic acid, B12 shots are two that are recommended because they help with side effects, fatigue and building your immune system. Whey protein helps with your muscles. Take care, JC

Just checked it out and I think I would try it. Can't hurt-might help. It's flavonoids and the most highly researched. Take care, JC

Hi
Have been using it for years especially during the winter months to prevent colds, flu etc. I have a tracheostomy (breathing tube in throat) due to thyroid cancer and need to make sure that my respiratory system is clear of infections. I have lung cancer and several autoimmune diseases.

When using it feel energized and my breathing appears to be easier. My family uses it when they feel the first sign of a cold, itchy throat and it really seems to prevent full blown infections.

I would give it a try for sure.

Take care
Lee

We use elderberry at our house for viruses. It seems to boost the immune system over all. I would use it.

cards7up. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

leehee1, Do you use the tablets or the syrup. There is an original formula and then there is the immune formula. Do you know the difference?

kathleen, which do you use? Do you buy it locally at the health store or online?

Hi stage 1,
I am not familiar with elderberry but I take a supplement called "R3" that is real good for your immune system. It has beta glucan in it which is a mushroom extract and also had tumeric extract in it. I also take an antioxidant called "Alpha Lipoic Acid" . You can check them both out at a GNC store. Take care. Karen

I use the syryp - just easier for me to swallow.
