I just read about this possible Oprah opp to get lung cancer and LCA in the news. It's a one in a million chance, but if you know someone newly diagnosed, you might want to mention this. Here's what the O show's looking for -- to enter, see link below.

Ya know we have badgered Oprah for YEARS trying to get lung cancer survivors/issues on her show. I remember back in 1997 & 1998, etc., etc., when ALCASE was still somewhat new, we sent emails and snail mail letters until they came out of our ears and no one EVER got a reply from Harpo or Oprah. It was so depressing. Sadly it's been done over and over and over and over and over again trying to get here attention on Lung Cancer Issues, and still never once has she done anything lung cancer related. I just don't get it!

I sure HOPE and PRAY someday she will HEAR ONE OF US begging her to make a difference in the fight against lung cancer. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Hi, Connie, I know your frustration and am so sorry for all of us who've been trying to get her to do something on LC! I actually have a contact at the show because my son and I were guests years ago. But not even that has helped!

Hi, Tina. I think we're talking brand new (though I have no idea when they're going to produce the show - it would have to be very soon). And again with all the diseases and kinds of cancer, it's unlikely they'd profile a person with lung cancer, but I thought I'd put it out there just in case...
