Please say prayers for Karen (Peyz)

Karen had a setback in her recovery this past week-end and needs an MRI of her brain. She, of course, feel sad and scared.
Please send strong, loving prayers for her and about her and to her that this MRI reveals nothing and that she remains NED.

Karen has all my sympathy and understanding - since I, too, had an MRI in June (I thought I was having migraines) and found 3 visible brain metastases. It was a shock, and I dreaded the Whole Brain Radiation they recommended.

I had the treatments, which aren't so bad in themselves, and I am really hoping to learn, with the next MRI, that they are gone.

I hope that in Karen's case, they don't find anything to worry about, but if they do, they, like the rest of the monsters we have to fight, can be beaten too.

Much strength and courage to Karen and thanks to D1 for letting us know that our prayers and encouragement are especially needed.

Thanks, D, for letting us know about Karen. I pray for the MRI to be ok. Karen is in my thoughts and prayers.

Karen:

I hope the MRI shows nothing, but I know you are a strong person and can handle any roadblocks that are put in front of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

we, on this website, have seen so much evidence of wbr succeeding with mets to the brain. i hope and pray that karen's scan comes out clear. but, if it doesn't, we will all march on, just like we have been, and support each other with every turn that occurs. karen- positive thoughts. my dad used to say, "don't pay interest on trouble until it is due." hopefully you are interest-free!! arlene

My prayers are with Karen and her family.

My best positive thoughts are with Karen and also hope the MRI comes back OK. She is always strong and so supportive of everyone posting their troubles on this site that we send them back twofold. We will all await the best possible news.

hey, guys,
let's take a moment and remember that people in the real world have things like seizures, for which they check people out and try to figure out what's wrong. there are a lot of things that can go wrong to cause seizures - let's give Karen's doctors a chance to figure out what's wrong and put together a treatment plan for her - I know we all want to help so very much - but I don't think us jumping to conclusions would be something Karen would want us to be doing.

I think she'd be thrilled however if we all sent her some love and prayers and good wishes. and, of course, some big fluffy hugs.....

Hi Everyone - well - the test came back "unremarkable" - guess that means I am OK - MY ONC and the Radiologist read the film and saw nothing - they have suggested I see a Neurologist - which - duh - I guess I will. Thanks to all of you here who are so supportive and loving - D - thanks for asking for prayers for me - you are one in a million...I am going to take a nice long walk with my dog now and and enjoy every second!
Love to all of you - Karen

Yes, Karen, I love when the test reports say you're "unremarkable." With this disease, that's a very good thing.
Karen, I was so upset when I read your email to me that I felt that the only thing that I could do for you was to summon the special people here, some much closer to God than me, and get them praying for you and sending prayers and love to embrace you and protect you.
Karen, you never know, all those prayers might have chased any trouble away.
There's a lot of love and comfort on this sight.....we can all tap into it when we need it.

Hey Karen,

Wow! Scary times for you but "unremarkable" is good news indeed. Best to you with the neurologist. I'm praying for you my friend...

Jim

Hi Karen,

Sounds like good news and that it all turns out to be "nothing to worry about".
