I am so glad to hear that. It is truly wonderful and what a wonderful Christmas you will have. By the way thank you for your comment and support for me and my mother. She is doing well and her last CT scan was clean and we have another one tomorrow. She is so close to her normal self and it is awesome and inspiring, as all of you survivors are. Good luck to you and God bless.

Thank you all for the kind words. The original post was for a Nov 2006 PET scan. A recent CAT scan Nov 18, 2008 shows a small spot on each lung and swollen lump nodes in the right neck and under the right arm pit. I am currently waiting for a biopsy to be performed.
Mike
YEAH YEAH YEAH
God bless you

Mike - You're going through some scary stuff. Sorry for the not-perfect scan results.
As you can, please let us know how it's all coming, from time to time. Regards and good luck, Barbara
You'll be in my prayers. Hang in there.
yippie, so very happy to see this, how are you doing?
Has anyone heard about the condition of Mike Veasy, a sclc survivor?
I remember reading his posts in 2007 just after I was diagnosed. I'm wanting to know how he is doing now. His words were an inspiration to me.
Thanks,
Karen (nkb)
Hello Karen,
Just a quick note to tell you I'm still around!!!!! I do not visit this board as often as I should. I had the Cancer return this past year. I have just completed a very long Chemo session Dec 08- Oct-09. I will be having a CT scan here shortly. I feel strong and very good this time around. I am very glad to hear from you and that I was able to help you though a tuff time.
Mike
Dear Mike:
I was diagnosed in May 2007 - sclc/limited (tumor in left lung with a couple of lymph nodes affected in the mediastinum). It has been 2 1/2 years for me. My scans remain clear, however I read the stats on the 5-yr mark being the important one. If I remember correctly, our cases were somewhat the same (along with a lady named Ann from Georgia). I was interested when I read that your's had returned after 3 years and was sorry to hear that but am glad that it sounds like your doing so well. Where did it return and what kind of second treatment did you have?
I do remember back in May 2007, your words here gave me a lot of hope at a time when I sure needed it. Thanks!
So far, all my scans have been NED. I've made a lot of changes in my life and sure hope this remains this way!
Thanks for responding.
Karen
