My dear Dad, Jim, passed away peacefully last Wednesday. I held his hand while he took his last peaceful breath. I am so proud to be his daughter. He taught me so much and gave me so much love I am forever grateful. I am still in and out of reality and know it will take a long time to sink in and my life will never be the same. I will continue to pray for you all and will always support lung cancer research and better treatment and care. You are all angels and I thank you for all of your sincere and heartfelt love and support.

with much love,
Stacie

Hi Stacie,

Kristi

Dear Stacie, so very sorry that you lost your precious father, prayers go to you and your family during this very difficult time, Huggs, Karen

Dear Stacie,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family. It is especially sad to lose a father. We are there "little girls" no matter how old we are or how proud we make them. They hold us so dear to them and we hold them equally as close to us. There is no love like a father and daughters love.
Time will make it easier to remember the happier times and will replace your tears with a smile.......My thoughts are with you! Here is a heart felt hug for you.

Dear Stacie,
I am so, so sorry for your loss! You were one of my first friends on here; as our parents were both dxed about the same time--and sadly they had to leave us! I want you to know that I am always here for a (((HUG))) and to hold your hand as you go through this. As you said in an earlier post--this definitely starts a new chapter in our lives--one that I sometimes don't feel ready for! I am here for you!

Mary

Stacie,
Your father was very proud of you. It is tough to watch a loved one suffer and I am sure he was comforted by knowing you were there in the end. Lots of prayers and God bless you all.

Stacie, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. It is so hard to lose someone you love so much, but I know he was comforted to have your love and presence to the end. Your good memories will never fade, and I am sure Jim would want you to remember the good times. May God bless and keep you. Love, Judy

Dear Stacie:

Much Love,
Marylou

Oh Stacie, I'm so sorry about your dad. He certainly did a good job raising such a fine daughter. You can as proud of yourself as well as your Dad. Let me tell you one thing as a dad, I am so amazed every day at how my daughter does so many amazing things and things I would never have the guts to do. I am sur eyour Dad is watching you know saying to whoever will listen" That's my girl down there, isn't she great!". You are the best and you did him the best anyone could have. Feel him holding you now. You do, don't you? God bless, John

Dear Stacie: I am so sorry to learn of your precious father's passing. I know what that feels like - my father also passed away from lung cancer many years ago. I'm sure your presence brought him much comfort. As time goes by that will become more and more meaningful to you. He was blessed to have such a fine daughter to be there for him for the journey. His love will always be with you.
Blessings!

I am so sad for you Stacie. I worry so much about losing my mom, so my heart breaks when I read about someone losing a parent. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Stacie,

I saw this post and my heart just sank... I am deeply saddened by the loss of your precious Father. His story always brought Mom and I such hope when she was first diagnosed. You and I have been on this journey a long time together and I feel like we're family. I am so sorry for your loss. Take comfort in knowing that you were the best daughter and that you were with him every step of the way and right until the very end. There is no doubt that he knew how much he was loved. I am here for you always! If you need someone to talk to I am just a phone call away...

Love,
Jodi

My deepest condolences, Stacie, for the loss of your father. You both have had a long and tough two year journey and have fought valiently. He must be both proud of his daughter and appreciative of all your deep caring and care giving.

Warm hugs,
Sheila

Pat

You gave him the greatest gift - your time and your love when he needed it the most. May that comfort you in the days ahead along with the knowledge that his love will be with you always. I'll keep you in my prayers. God Bless.

I'm so sorry for the loss of you father.

Stacie-
I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. He was one of my SCLC kin on this site. Stay in contact with us and how let us know how you are doing.

Thank you all for your kind words. I feel I have so much I want to talk about and share but I am trying to get back to the ship from my lifeboat if you know what I mean. I just can't believe the world just goes on so suddenly and we are supposed to jump right back into things like nothing happened, it's just crazy. Or maybe it helps us heal faster and keeps us busy. Any way, I can't thank you all enough for your support and kindness these last couple years, I am sorry we all have to join this group but know we are better together than we would be if we had to go through this alone. God bless you Dad, I love you with all my heart!

love,
Stacie
