I am having my first pet scan tomorrow too,as several people on this site are as well. I am very nervous and scared. I have to go alone tomorrow. God, how I hate this...... God please give me peace and the strength.

I am sorry you have to go by yourself for the scan tomorrow. I have also gone alone, although most of the time my husband goes with me. Even though you are still alone for the test, it is nice to know someone is out there waiting for you. I will be sending prayers for you tomorrow for a great scan. I'm having one tomorrow too ........ so we're in this together. This is not my first time, by any means. So, let me assure you, you will be fine, I promise. The scan is the easy part. It's waiting for results that sucks. But I'm praying really, really hard for clean scans for both of us ...... and for anyone else that's having scans tomorrow.
It will be ok, trust me.

Hi Stage I - I hope all went well yesterday during your scan. I will pray that God gives you peace as you wait for the results and they are clear. I used to worry so much from scan to scan, and then I realized that there was nothing I could do to change the results - all I was doing was ruining the days I spent waiting. Good luck! I will be there too for you! I know it will be fine! Do you get results the same day? Phil has his then his appt follows. So..the scan isn't scary it's the appt. You know what I mean...I remember his 6 month scan and how nervous we were. Then it was over and everything was good again for 3 months. I wish EVERYONE good results on their scans this week. Kathy

You won't be alone because I also am going with you and Cheryl tomorrow, it is kind of hard being in 2 places at the same time, but I am gonna do it. So smile when you see me and I will know who you are. Don't be afraid, take an ativan if you have one, it takes the edge off.
I will be praying for you to have no fear, some anxiety is okay, but not too much, get some sleep tonight.

Stage 1....My prayers are with you for clean results. Pat-M said " there is nothing I can do to change the results.". We need to toss it to the Universe and ask God for his Mercy. This must be National Scan Week as I noticed that a lot of us are/were scheduled for this week. I went for a Scan yesterday, as well. I will not receive the results until November 6th. I go to Scans by myself as my husband has Alzheimers.....Viki
Good Luck. I actually prefer to go alone and tell my husband to stay home when I have scans. I guess I don't feel alone but enjoy the quiet prior to my scan and after.
