1 Recommendation

Did anyone see the ending of the Nancy Grace show last night? She acknowledged that Nov. is lung cancer awareness month and how it kills more people than other cancers combined. she also posted cancer alliance's website. I thought that was great!!!!!! I am going to email her and thank her.

Me too. Too bad Oprah can't take a lesson from her.

I saw it, I saw it and actually did a double take. I rewinded my Tivo just to make sure I saw it correctly. Yay finally someone out there posting about lung cancer awareness.

FYI: Here is the blurb from the show.....

NANCY GRACE:
Everybody, we`re going to break and taking your calls live.

November, Lung Cancer Awareness Month. It`s the number one cancer killer in the world, claiming more lives than breast, colon, prostate, liver, melanoma and kidney cancer combined. Kills more women a year than breast cancer.

Important. You don`t have to smoke to get lung cancer. This Saturday, November 7, 8:00 a.m. the Lung Cancer Alliance Run and Walk, Alpharetta, Georgia. For info on this and other happenings across the U.S., go to lungcanceralliance.com. The Bonnie Jay Addario Lung Cancer Foundation at Lungcancerfoundation.org. And the Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Foundation at joangaeta.org.

Together, we can win the fight against lung cancer.

Dear Karenere:

Nope, I didn't get to see it. Thanks for the info though. It feels great to know that at least one person of notoriety is thinking of us!

Blessings!

I've always admired Nancy Grace as she is a fighter for victim's rights. She won't take anything off anyone and I'm happy to know she is defending us now. I will email her also.

Kudos to Nancy!!!

Bette

Thanks for letting us know. I watch her sometimes but missed that. Will send her an email thanking her for helping get the word out.

I watch her show because I find her soooo grating it's entertaining to me. Well ... I've just changed my tune. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Kudos to Ms. Grace.

Aloha,

Sadly I didn't see it, but I hope millions of others did!
Thanks for sharing the info with us.....

Beat you to it, Karenere...I posted it at 7:34 yesterday morning!!

Thanks for sharing that. My Mom passed in June, but she watched Nancy every night!! She loved her show!! She would be proud that she put that on her show. That makes me smile THANKS!!

I noticed Robinwd's post after I posted it. I wasnt up at that time lololo I have good news the reason I wasn't up is because I went for my CT chest and abdomen and it was clear. I was dxd in Jan '08. NED since July 31, '08. I have my brain MRI in Dec. Hopefully nothing came back there. Almost 2 years since diagnosis. I hope I can someday put an 0 behind that 2 (20). I hope that for everyone on here and everyone with this friggin' disease.

Nancy Grace was the emcee of our 2009 gala fund-raiser, "Dancing for Joan". (http://www.dancingforjoan.org)

She went above and beyond what we asked of her and is nothing like her TV persona. A lovely, sweet lady who is committed to our cause.

She has agreed to emcee our 2010 event on February 20th, 2010.

So, if you'd like to thank her in person and you'll be in the Atlanta area, come to our event!
