I live in a town in the U Kwhere lung cancer is smoking related,usually between the ages of 55/65 .I also live in the middle of two nuclear power stations although miles away .Cancer rates are really high here .3 males who live near me have esophagus cancer bowel and breast cancerrates are high .Clusters of childhood leukaemia have been investegated ,but the powers that be say it is coincidental .Also i think chenoble played a big part as it blew across ouy country and landed on the hills and fields ,getting into the food chain .Lots of radioactive fall outs are covered up ,and guess what they are planning to build more reactors .Areal target for terroists .What chance do the next generation have ,saying this i do live in a beautifull place beatrix potter country has any one seen the film

Sounds like it should be a horror film. I'm sorry, it may be beautiful, but it's deadly. I think you know the answer to your own question, their chances are not good. Here in the US you could buy a test to check for radon, might want to check it out online and buy one. Test somewhere in the area where you live, the soil, water, it would tell you what you can test. I bet it's loaded. If it were me, I'd be out of there faster than Superman. There are areas like that all over the world and I've even read something about an area here, but I can't remember where. I'll have to try to find out about it again. But it also affected the children and the pregnant woman had children born with birth defects. It's scary but it's also real. Take care, JC
