My husband Michael passed away yesterday morning after a 15 month battle with small cell lung cancer. He is in a better place now and is no longer in pain. I just wanted to thank everyone on this website for their prayers, opinions, and information. I don't know what I would of done without this wonderful place to talk with others affected by cancer. My husband and I had so many questions during this journey and we always found someone with an answer. May God bless all those affected by cancer. Keep the faith and believe God will be there for you during your journey with cancer whatever type of journey that is. I still plan to keep an eye on the posts to see how others are doing. Thanks again for all the love, positive thoughts, and prayers.

My prayers and condolences go out to you in this hard time. Blessed that Mike is in a far better place and free from this awful cancer. May you find comfort in family and friends and the fond memories of Mike during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your loving husband. My dad passed away in May of 2008 from extensive SCLC. He fought the battle for one year almost to the day. Your husband was very lucky to have you helping him during his fight against this awful disease. I know it is not easy, but I, too, hope you find some peace and comfort knowing that he is no longer suffering.
Please know that I am thinking of you and your family.

Katherine, I am so sorry to hear about Michael. I pray that God will wrap you in his loving arms and comfort you. I, too, am so sad for your loss and for the losses of many of our friends on this site who have lost loved ones. I lost my husband of 40 years to nsclc 6 weeks ago. I know where you are and what you are feeling right now. I will pray for you and anyone else who loved him. As someone said to me at the time: I am sure he is holding you with his brand new angel wings.

Katherine - I am so sorry - this cancer just sucks the life out of everyone and has no mercy - Thank GOD HE is merciful. May your Michael be blessed with peace and rest as he fought a good fight. You are always welcome here for love, support, crying and venting. I am so sad to hear this.

I was struck by your amazingly thoughtful message a day after Michael died. What strength you have. I can just imagine what loving care you gave Michael during these difficult 15 months. May you be at peace knowing that he is in a better place and you did everything you could.
