My Intro

My wife, Cheryl Field, has been a member of your family for the last couple of years. When my friend Scott Isabella was diagnosed three weeks ago with stage 3/4 cancer of his lungs and other stuff, I put him in touch with Cheryl. As you know, Scott has now joined your/our family.

Hey, Charlie,
Welcome to our family!
I am already so very proud of you for looking after your wife and doubly proud of you for watching out for Scott. Hopefully, we can all make his adjustment to the "new normal" a little less scary.
I'm glad you decided to talk with us.
Sending hugs,
Pat

this is a good place to find when you are scared, lost, worried and need information - sorry you even have to be here - but here we are - join in our collective journey -
Karen

well put Karen, a collective journey among friends, hugs and welcome to our group, Penny

Thanks for the welcoming words. I have already told Scott what a bunch of you have said about these early days of dealing with the doctors: take notes; take a voice recorder. These can be confusing times and having an understanding of things like diagnoses, courses of treatment, what to expect, etc. is important. I can't tell you how many times Cheryl and I came away from a doctor conference and, then, an hour later, looked at each other and said "Now, what exactly did he say?"

Hey Charlie,
Thanks for coming onto the site. You and Cheryl have been a great support for myself and my wife. I can't thank the both of you enough.

All my best,

Scott

Hey there - another Southerner????? So glad to have y'all here! Glad you are taking good care of that wife of yours - we all like her a whole lot on this site - Sharon

Yep. Born in Birmingham, raised in Macon. So I have carte blanche to tell redneck jokes.

Scott:
I wish I had joined this group earlier. Melissa might be interested.

Hey Scott, Put up your picture! Cheryl

Hi Scott, What is the latest? Keep me posted, please, Cheryl
