Yes, we've been talking. She is awaiting to see if she can get insurance approval for treatment with Dr. Chang. I believe the treatment is not mainstream (as MeadowBreeze's/Linda's doctor sent her to hospice, saying no more conventional treatment) so they may have to fight for approval. I don't know the exact details ....I'm not sure if it's LDN or something else. I'm sure Linda will post when she knows more herself.

D, I just spoke with Linda. Like Alisa posted, she is waiting for insurance approval for Dr. Chang of NYC. She said when her doctor told her he couldn't do anything else for her and recommended hospice, she cried. But she went home and decided she was not ready to give up. The cancer has spread to the other lung but not in any of her other organs. This doctor has a treatment plan for her but she needs insurance approval first.
She said to tell everyone she has been very busy and hasn't had a chance to post on this site. But she appreciates everyone's good wishes and prayers.

Dear Sweet Bette,
Thanks for contacting Meadowbreeze/Linda, and thanks for the update. If Dr. Chang has a plan for her, I think it's criminal if her health insurer does not at least pay the 80% of what is reasonable and customary.
It's crazy how they willingly pay $5000 for an MRI or Pet Scan or thousands for chemotherapies, then draw the line at holistic remedies.
When will healthcare belong to the people, to afflicted. At times like this, I wish I was a healer. I wish I could pat Linda's dear, worried face and bring her comfort and good health.
God bless her and you sweet Bette and all those who suffer or feal fear.
