Kanglaite (KLT) injections?

3 Recommendations

Does anyone know about Kanglaite (KLT) injections used to treat lung cancer in China? I recently read about this and wondered if anyone knew anyone who has used such a thing? There is a US clinical trial to see if is useful to pancreatic cancer. I'm not sure why there isn't a US clinical trial to see if it is useful to lung cancer.

The research drug, KLT, is purified from a traditional Chinese medicine called coix seed. It is approved in China for use in combination with chemotherapy to treat patients with advanced lung cancer and liver cancer. It is also approved in China for use by itself to treat the symptoms of cancer in patients with advanced cancer of any kind. In the US, KLT is purely experimental and is not approved for any use.

I have done much reading and research into this, and even have gone to the extent of writing my own governor about this,. I do not understand why other countries have such advanced treatments, yet here we sit always waiting for something to happen, the only thing I can see happening is more of us dying.
We had a true story on our community news channel, a younger man in his late 30's early 40's developed lung cancer, he did not listen to the doctors here, he went overseas and had a lung transplant done, our protocol here would be no surgery at all for his stage. He had to second mortgage his house to do it, but here in the USA, he was told he would die, he is totally cancer free now. why is this, it is not like it is on another planet, just another country. there are many politics to these stories we do not even know about, one is that some of these transplants, and I should say most of the organs for transplant are bought from prisoners who have died while incarcerated. I do not think the prisoners gave their own approval to have their organs sold, so in these cases I think this is what holds up back from any participation legally. but in the case where the drugs they are using in China are not available, we have to push our own government into telling us why not??
I do know that we are... allowed as human beings to use experimental drugs that are not approved. One way is to go through what they call Abigail's alliance, check it out on the web for info on this.
We do also use the drug LDN which is not government approved for cancer use, it is approved for other things in higher doses.
Just an FYI also these clnical trials are not alweays a for sure thing to get passed by the FDA, so we sit and wait some more,k I am not sure much can be done without the entire population of all lung cance patients going to court. Thsi would never happen because so many of us die before we could ever get any ball rolling. the best thing we can do is what you are doing, get these things exposed, unfortuantely just on these posts won't do us that much good, why look in one week how the stories are all different and the past ones all forgotten, on to the next problem. Until someone or a group of someones all take notice and we stick together somehow, and try and do something with all of this knowledge, not too much is going to change for us.
Thanks for sharing.
Sandy

I gave you a recommendation for on this posting, I think everyone should read it, you can also click the reccommend button too and give it 2 recommendations, we could use more people to see this. I just went on line to see what was said recently about this and htere is a nioce aricle about it, in one of the health magazines. thanks again.
Sandy,.

I went directly to the kanglaite-usa.com site and found that eventually there is going to be a phase II clinical trial involving NSCLC.

http://www.kanglaite-usa.com/clinical_trials.htm

It states: A series of Phase 2b studies are being planned to evaluate the effect of Kanglaite Injection on newly diagnosed tumors, when given concurrently with chemotherapy. These studies are in the following disease indications: Non Small-cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC): A Phase 2b open label comparison of gemcitabine + carboplatin to gemcitabine + carboplatin + Kanglaite Injection is planned in patients with Stage IIIb or IV NSCLC. This trial is expected to enroll at least 120 patients.

sandy, just wanted to add something. Did you know in the US..most prisoners(i never look at stats anymore on anything) come out of the prisons with some kind of communicable disease. HIV..STDS HERPES...and Hepatitis. Not to mention several diseases the CDC had ruled obsolete just 20 yrs ago are on the rise in our nations prisons. Think this maybe why we dont use prisoners organs (other than the fact its against their "rights"). Just a thought.
Hope your doing well today...have a good one...
robin

Dear Robin,
You brought up an excellent point, didn't even give that one a thought, I don't read the stats either but I do know that there are many prisoners in our own country
Sandy anyway that have all of these diseases.
