Dang I forget my levels -- that's bad I was a renal nurse not long ago.

But -- generally you "get" to DC an IV and go on oral antibiotics. It is very easy when you have a disease that challenged the immune system like cancer to get an infection, and harder to treat. So yea -- in that respect it sounds -- not OK but definitely not out the realm of likelihood.

Hi ttt,
How is the cyberknife working. My dad is set to start that procedure and would like some input on it if you don't mind. I will keep your friend in my prayers....

ttt,

Please clarify WBR and C/K concurrently? That would be unusual.
IV has no impact on renal function, assuming he isn't fluid overloaded but, I'm sure they changed the A/B to something not renal toxic.

yes wbr and ck concurrently. thanks for the clarification on non renal toxic drug. that is probably what they did.

Hi ttt,
I'd like to recommend something to help boost your friends immune system. My dad is taking AHCC (mushroom extract) but there are other things that can also help.

My dad has stage IV NSCLC with mets to liver. He recently had pneumonia and got over it real fast. One of the nurses that treated him in the hospital called him ironman due to his rapid recovery.

Wishing your friend all the best!
