Lilsister. I am sorry you all are going through this. To be honest, the best person to explain it all to you is the ICU Doctor, I would corner him (literally ) and ask what is going on. If what he says doesnt make sense to you tell him that, and ask him to rephrase it so you can undertand what he is telling you., IT IS PART OF HIS JOB AS A PHYSICIAN TO CLEARLY EXPLAIN A PATIENT'S CONDITION TO THE FAMILY. If he says he doesnt know, tell him you want to speak to someone who does know...NOW!

Keeping your dad in my prayers!

Second thought! Could it be that your dad signed papers stating that he wants NO INFORMATION given out to ANYONE?............m.c.

He did not sign any papers my sister filled them out. They tell me what they think I should hear it drives me nuts she just called me to tell me he is coming home now. My dad is still very angry and doesnt want anyone to tellhim what to do. So we don't. I still don't know what is going on with my dad.

My Dad went to the ER this weekend for a blood clot in his leg which totally swelled up and has been causing him lots of pain for days. They did send him home, but one of the things they mentioned was that his heart rate was high(not out of control though). he sees his onc today and we are hoping for a little more explanation about it. I will pass on anything I hear.
