I Am Worried

0 Recommendations

Hi All,
I am worried about Mom. She has been off Tarceva for 3 1/2 weeks. She has hardly any energy... enough to get up and do a few little things and then she is back laying down. She is eating, thanks to steroids. If she was not on steroids, Mom would not be eating. Mom sees the onc on Monday to sign the consent forms for the clinical trial. She will then be scheduled for testing that is required to begin the trial. I am not feeling optimistic at this point.

Tarceva Folic acid

Kristi, ask her doctor about folic acid and B12 shots. This should help with her side effects and building her immune system back up. Good luck and take care, JC

Hi Kristi,

I'm sorry to hear your mom's not feeling so well.

When I went through the fatigue bit my primary doctor recommended I drink sodas with caffeine and eat anything with caffeine; he said they would help with the energy. It did help some.

But I found the best thing that worked for me was liquid ginseng. I took it morning and night and that worked better than anything. And I can tell the difference when I run out and don't take it.

May be worth a shot. I do hope things work out for her and the clinical trial. I will keep her in my prayers. Try to hang in there. And God Bless you both.
