Hospice Called In

0 Recommendations

We were told last week that dad's confusion and low motor function is probably from brain mets, even though he had brain radiation and NED in July. At the start of this week he started to go down hill fast. I don't think he has much longer and to be honest with you, the confusion is like a blessing since he does not know what is going on with his body.

I am heart broken! Please pray for my father.

Pain Confusion

We certainly will. Hang in there.

I am so sorry about your dads change in condition. Please know he is in my prayers. I think calling in hopsice right now is a good idea. They will help the family as well as your dad. He may need some real strong pain medication, Hopsice is real good about noticing what one of thier patients needs. If we can be of help to you, in this time of crisis in your family, please say the word and ask for our help, we are here. I can't tell you how sorry that all of the treatments your dad has been through, just did not cure him. May god take him swiftly and painlessly to a new world filled with love and hope, no more pain or sadness.
God bless Sandy

I am sharing your fear and your heartbreak and wish you both didn't have to be going through this. may all of the angels in heaven surround your family. remember to treasure every moment you have with him - daddies are most precious people

Hospice is a great choice. They will keep him free from pain. It is a great relief to know that if something goes on in the middle of the night you have someone to call who will respond quickly. I will be praying for your dad and your whole family.

Is the confusion and low motor function probably from brain mets, or from radiation-induced necrosis?
