I had stage 3 NSCLC Squamous Cell in 2007. After radiation and Chemo, have had clean scans since. Well, there was something lower right lung, but not growing and not "hot" on PET. But my tongue has been sore for awhile, on and off, and today I looked in the mirror and it looks like a sore spot. I looked at tongue cancer on internet and the spot I have looks like the pictures of Squamous cell tongue cancer. I also read that it is "common" in lung cancer survivors, usually with surgery..mine was inoperable so no surgery. I plan to call my ONC office first thing Monday morning, but was just wondering if anyone here knew or have had squamous cell tongue cancer? Or heard anything about the connection with lung cancer?
