Thanks everyone for the well wishes and happy dances. Just wanted to share my good news, hopefully I can give someone else some hope. I know I often come to this site just searching for good news because this disease is such monster, it truly is an up and down emotional roller coaster.

That is such fantastic news I am so happy for you and also want to thank you for your good wishes for my Bob. Your daughter looks like a little angel and would give anyone the will to live. Like you I come on this site lookin for positive stories. I am now going to ask our onc. again why Bob cant try it (he said its not strong enough for him) I will pray for your continued success with this drug well done.

Tarceva the wonder drug! I've been on it for 3 months, and after the first 4 weeks, my onc said there was a 75% reduction. My next ct is Friday the 13th (I'm no longer scared of bad luck.......stage 4 cancer trumps it!!) I also heard that it crosses the blood/brain barrier, so hopefully my brain mri's will look good next month when they're rechecked. I am symptom-free, energetic, bald, and rashy from the Tarceva....and so incredibly lucky.......Congratulations to you! Keep it up!!

Thanks for the well wishes! I know exactly what you mean, for the people that Tarceva works for, it seems to be a miracle drug! I know that I am still very early in this battle but I feel so encouraged and hopeful right now. I will keep you in my thoughts and pray that you have great upcoming scans! Next time, hope you hear the words NED!
P.S. As far as the side effects, I have them pretty bad too, my hair is falling out the crazy, probably going to have some bald spots soon and my face looks like a maraschino cherry-not that I'm complaining, I will gladly take it if its destroying this cancer!

thats very gud news so far so gud for me ive been on tarceva 9 mon now my next scan is later this month i hope its still doing the job i also have the cherry red pimple face but yur so rite id rather look like this if it beats having cancer plus they say when u have the rash side effect it shows the drugs still working so how true that it i dnt know lol!!

That's terrific news. I've been on Tarceva for a little over 3 years now and still going strong.

Awesome!!! Sounds like we are in similar timelines and situations!!!
I started Tarceva on 9/23 and had my scan on 11/3, the tumors were shrunk or gone!!! My doctor said come back in two months. I will go back in Jan and get an MRI at that point to recheck the brain (not checked since radiation).
I'm so happy for you!!!! (us!)
