Good one year scan results. What next?

0 Recommendations

It's been one year since I ended treatment for Stage IIIA NSCLC. My treatments were radiation and chemo (cisplatin and etopocide) only, no surgery. My six-month CT Scan was NED and the latest showed no change. I will be seeing my oncologist shortly for a follow-up. So, what's next? Are there other treatments I should discuss with him that might improve my survival odds? Or is it just wait and see at this point?
I love this web site. It is full of caring and courageous people.

Since I want to know the same things, I hope you get some good replies. I am NCSLC 3A, I did have surgery and then radiation and chemo, then just chemo. Had my first scan post treatment. They think a hazy spot on my lung is just from the radiation and I have to have a new scan in 2 months. I know that I am NED just have have it officiated by the onc. I want to also know about other treatments to improve my survival odds. I do take B12, folic acid, Vit D3 and Aroniaberry juice. My onc just told me to eat a good balanced diet. I am trying to give up sweets (thats a hard one) and cutting back on red or fried meats. Changing white bread for whole grain isn't too bad (except when I want a pbj). Other then that, I don't know what else to do.

My husband was able to stay NED for 3 years after his surgery and he attributed it to many things mentioned above. He gave up meat, sugar/sweets, any alcohol except Red Wine and took quite a few vitamins. He also worked out 3-4 times a week since we all know that Cancer can't stand excess Oxygen in the lungs. We may never know if all this stuff actually attributed to his staying healthy for awhile but I would like to think so. Lots of hope and faith helped too!!

I am stage 3A also. I had chemo and radiation before surgery, then chemo after surgery. I do try to eat healthy and I do take vitamins. My surgery was in July,2005 and my scans by the Grace of God have been clean since.

I love reading these posts. My mom was diagnosed with stage 3a lung cancer in Oct. 2008. NED since. She has new CT scan results on Nov. 4th. Please pray for her! Thank you all so much for sharing your stories.

What does NED mean?

That's a good question. I see it used on this website to mean that there is no detectable sign of cancer, but I don't know what the three letters NED actually stand for.

NED means no evidence of disease which is something we all want to see. My mum's journey with sclc has only just begun but I pray for the day that we hear NED.

Thanks....may all have NED......

I've heard of GRAVIOLA.

Specially the N-TENSE combination with this Graviola for lungs, liver, brain and prostata. Gravizon for brest-cancer.

For those who live in Europe, they sent me IN JUST 2 DAYS 6 x Graviola on pay-after-delivery, no PayPal no other online things.

For Americans, the company that distributes Graviola & N-TENSE IS AMERICAN:

Have somebody in the family with stage 3A or 3B (according to the stages I saw listed on your webside).

We just foud out accidentally (!!) because of other problems, they are NO PAINS AT ALL til it's sometimes too late ...

First will be chemo & radiation to prevent some small parts to get to the pleura. Just to be sure, said the doctors.

After chemo and radiaton, will be surgery and perhaps chemo again.

VITAMINS and Graviola parallel to the official treatment !

I know a drunkiard guy with methastasis in several parts of his body that made it till NED with chemo+radiation + N-TENSE (based on Graviola).

I hope the best for my relative.
The link to the company in Holland for Graviola -FREE to buy:

Graviola in Holland

(N-TENSE on Amazon.com but on creditcard, VISA PayPal, you'll find it there).

I gave you what I know, maybe you have better addresses, OK?
Here it goes on life or death and it's a matter of months, no business or stupid proud.

Sorry for not knowing more, I'm not a doctor. Remember this name: GRAVIOLA.

God help us all.
