FUNDING/AWARENESS

Upate to my original post: Well today was the day that i set up a table at Walmart. I passed out tons of info, bracelets, pens, candy, all supplied to be by LCA & Lungevity. I did pretty good for 4 hrs we raised $196.00. More importantly I raised awareness. I feel that I would of had alot more donations had I been out there collecting for something else. When asked to donate, I had one man say to me "NO THANK YOU, I DONT SMOKE" i snapped. I also had one women say to me "ITS ABOUT TIME SOME DO SOMETHING FOR LUNG CANCER." I am glad I did it. All in All so far in the last few months I have raised $1065.00. I am new at this, each year will be better.

Dear ATI:

Many thanks for your great efforts and noteworthy accomplishment!

Blessings!

Ati, thank you for doing this! Not just the fundraising, but the information! We need research, screening, and more research, but that cannot happen without getting out the word and making NOISE about lung cancer. Thank you for making a difference for all of us!

Dear Ati:

Many thanks for everything you are doing to raise awareness and funding. If only more people knew the facts perhaps there would be more money for research.

Thank you so much for making a difference in our lives out there and on Inspire. Your help is inspirational.

Much Love,
Marylou

How teriffic! God bless you for doing that.

I was just thinking about having some pens made up to pass out here at work. I have posters up in the building I am in but need to get at 2 more.

There was a walk today in Arlington TX. I registered but was unable to make it since I got off work at 6am this morning and am back at work now (6pm). But next year I am there. I wanted to at least give the $25 registration to fee to help out.

wonderful news....that is super terrific.
Becky :)

What a wonderful job you have done! And the education you provided will continue to provide a big "return on investment"!

Ati,
Thank you so much! You know what you've done to make yourself proud! : )

Ati,
It takes a lot of courage to initiate change & put yourself out there.Kudos to you. Betsy

Ati, thank you for putting yourself out there, I'm sure that it wasn't easy. One year ago I was one of the ignorant and uniformed. Now I'm painfully aware that even children get lung cancer, and it doesn't matter whether you smoke or not, it still hurts everyone just as much and nobody deserves to die from this horrible disease.
I am proof that awareness IS growing, thanks to people like you.
