WOWHO!!!! I live in SD and had sent an email to Johnson re: funding for LC. I received a phone message one day that said he was not supporting increased funding at this time, but was working on educating our youth on the adversity to smoking. I fully intended to call them with my thoughts on lc in non-smokers, but lost the phone number and didn't pursue it any further (my husband had passed away in July and other things seemed to pop up at the same time as this message). I was so frustrated. I have hung lc awareness posters all over out small SD town and in one establishment every day I go back, it is torn down, so I now keep a stack in my car and rehang it up EVERYDAY and will continue to do so.
I am so happy that there may be a glimmer of support in SD, as well as the rest of the world.
It affects so many and yet so little thought and funding seems to be directed to it.

Yup-
Wish the snow would have waited till I was done taking father in law to radiation the end of the month!!!! But I guess that is what we get for living here. Would not live anywhere else besides South Dakota except maby Alaska.
