I got mine at Paula Young Wigs. You should be able to google it. Paula Young wigs are good in prices as well. They've been around a long time. Good company.

Good luck Beth.

http://www.jennyshairsense.com/ Jenny's Hair Sense I have heard is good too.

Best wishes,

Hi Beth:

I also got mine at Paula Young.com Mine are not real hair but they are very easy to style and keep up. They bounce back into place.

Many years ago when wigs were fashionable, I expressed the desire to have one for "emergencies" and for Christmas that year, my hubby bought one for me. It was real hair and a lot more work.

Paula Young has so many that you won't know what to choose. I bought one my natural (well used to be my natural) color and one a little lighter in case I lost all my eyebrows and lashes. They are STILL great for emergencies even today.

We are so proud of you Beth.

Much Love,
Marylou

My mom has a synthetic wig. I know you are looking for real, but she said hers has been pretty comfy. Maybe you could give it a try again. We were going to do real hair wigs, but a friend of hers (who is always well put together) recommended the synthetic. She used it when she had breast cancer, and she said they were so easy and you never had to re-style them. We got mom one here locally, and the lady even thinned it out and cut the bangs a bit and made it look very natural. Good luck with which ever way you choose to go. It really made my mom happy to know she had a cute option for when she lost her hair.

PJbubbles, I remember that you mentioned inexpensive in your question. Please look into your local American Cancer Society. They sometimes are able to help patients with the cost of buying wigs. I hope this helps. I bet that you will look great no matter which wig you chose. Best, Doc

To all my angelfriends

on this page thanks so much for all the good advice i will start my quest this morning. hope everyone is doing well.

before you lose your hair you can have it cut and a wig
made of your own hair. It your doctor orders it as a prosthetic and you are on medicare they say they will pay for that. My hair wasn't that great anyhow, it was 75 years old. lol I wore wigs from paula young but I did not
get the human hair. I also ordered one from TLC through the american cancer assoc. I now have a nice head of new baby hair,....... feels so good....I wore scarves the rest of the time when I did not want to wear a wig, some pretty earrings to match my outfit and I was all set. There were wig places right here in our town who would make the wig out of your own hair but I learned about it too late really, my hair was coming out in clumps....
Good luck just go on the internet or use your local phone book if you live in any size town. Call the american cancer assoc too. God Bless and good luck on your treatment. mitziger

I got mine locally. They cut it the first time as I liked. I could not afford real hair but mine looks real and is easy to take care of. I looked in the phone book and asked at my cancer center.

Hi Beth....I, too, have used Paula Young wigs and really like the synthetic ones. People are surprised when they find out I am wearing a wig. They look so natural and are so easy to maintain. Lots of great colors and styles and priced very reasonably. Sometimes there is even free shipping.

Try ebay they have a ton of them. Thanks
Judy
