Dancing at my sisters wedding

0 Recommendations

It has been 4 weeks today since my surgery. The pain in my pec is FINALLY starting to be tolerable each day, and I can go through the night with no pain meds. Hallelujah!!! Praise God! I didn't think it was ever going to happen. My sister's wedding is Saturday and I am so excited that I am going to be able to wear that bridesmatron dress and walk down the aisle. I will bravely have to display the scars from my lobectomy, mediport, and mediastinoscopy which ALL are very prominent in this dress. But who cares? I am alive and feeling human again!!!

Hi Tami,

Jen

Good for you!! Where that dress proudly, you are beautiful and dance like there is no tomorrow!! Have a great time, you deserve it, Karen

Hey TamiO,

You are beautiful because your spirit is so accepting and loving of who you are. Your courage is admirable. I'm 5 and one-half year survivor who loves to wear camisoles when I go dancing. If anyone is curious, they can see the long scar down the left side of my back. I have always thought and been told I have a lovely and sexy back. I don't care what others think. We are alive and that is invigorating and life-affirming. Have a great time.

Warm regards,
Joyce
