Clear Scan

0 Recommendations

My friend was diagnosed with lung cancer that spread to her lymph nodes and brain. That was 9 months ago. She had chemo, radiation and the gamma knife for her brain mets. I found out yesterday that her scan came back clear! NED! This gives me hope for my Mom. My Mom was diagnosed with stage 3b adenocarcinoma in April. She finished radiation and has 2 chemo treatments left. She is feeling really good. She will have a scan in November and I am a lot less afraid because of my friends results.

Take care everyone,

Melissa

Hey Melissa:

You gotta tell your friend that he/she MUST do the *********************Happy Dance Now*********************

Yes, it's required when you get a clean scan.

Also, I ask that you and your mom adopt the Song by Journey "Don't Stop Believing" It has a lot of power to it.

Oh, and if anybody needs the words, let me know :)

Love to all,
Marylou

Hi Melissa: My wife was diagnosed with stage 3b adencarcinoma last august 2008. She received 12 rounds of carboplaten/toxal combo and 36 rounds of radiation Sensivity testing showed she would be most responsive to carbo/toxal combo. She also had the talc procedure to clear up a plural infusion. She had her second pet scan last week and again it showed no tumors in her body. At the beginning of this journey I was also afraid. The oncologist told us that the cancer has a good probability of coming back. I will not ruin today by worrying about tomorrow. I now treat each days has a gift. good luck gene
