Chelsea is finally back home...

0 Recommendations

Hi All,
I just wanted to let everyone know Chelsea came home Monday night....been so busy haven't had the chance to share the great news!!!

She is still on oxygen at home and receiving IV antibiotics, hopefully it won't be for long. We had an emotional day today, because she is still feeling very weak. I keep trying to encourage her that once the pneumonia is gone she will start feeling stronger.

We are heading to Indiana University tomorrow morning to see if she can qualify for another research study... Her oncologist wants her to try something different for now. Even though the Topetecan is keeping the cancer stable, he wants to see more shrinkage. If she doesn't qualify, she will go back on the Topetecan when her pneumonia is cleared up.

I am so very proud of how strong she is and the doctors said if it wasn't for her age, she wouldn't of bounced back so quickly.... Youth is a good thing for sure! I know she will continue to stay strong for the fight!!! We aren't giving up that easily!!!

I will let everyone know how the visit goes.....

Love and prayers to everyone,

Brenda and Chelsea

I prayer the pnemonia clear up quickly and they can get that tumor to shrink even more. God bless her for her toughness and ability to keep on fighting.
