Cathys Mom & Dad visit from China!

Well, we got the news a few days ago that the letters from the doctors helped and Cathys Mom & Dad will be able to come here to spend time with us and will arrive Sept. 13th! Very difficult for folks from China to get a visa for a visit to the USA. They had been turned down in the past priot to Cathys diagnosis.
Cathy is unable to fly there due to fluid build up around her chest (which has been continuing to go down since chemo) and what a blessing it was to get the call from her Dad saying they got their visa!
So....in a few weeks hopefully we are all
off to Vegas & perhaps a cruise to have some fun and make great memories!

That is awesome that Cathy gets to see her parents. Have a great time. (While you're in Vegas, does Cathy want to be in the PSA?)

I often read your posts because my wife is Korean and it's great to hear that there is some justice in life have a wonderful holiday together and treasure the moments.

Michael.....Yes, it was a relief after they had been turned down a couple of years ago. The consulate didnt even look at the papers back then and just rejected them saying they didnt have enough proof they would return to China. I guess the letters from the docs and congressman Sam Farr this time helped. Anyway.....her Dads dream was to someday come to America and walk across the Golden Gate Bridge...We will make that happen as well as many other great memories! I love them like my own Mom & Dad. Wish they were going to be here for a different reason but
it will be great just the same!

PS: I used to travel from China to Korea many times. I remember all the good little fried chiken places....mostly Mom & pop places but the best chicken...Ah yes and Cathy and i love the chemshi. (spelling?)
