Cathys CT scan results in today!

0 Recommendations

Well folks, Cathys ct scan was done this afternoon and we got the results....
"All is good!" No new growth and everything is stable.
Thanks to God, the Tarceva is continuing to do its job. For all those taking Tarceva, Cathy started Tarceva back in Feb. 2009 after seeing growth and spread of cancer on Alimta and Avastin. At that time the doctors were not exactly full of hope. 1st scan showed dramatic improvement and all scans since have been stable! It has been 8 months now and all continues well. For those who don't know, Cathy is 35, non smoker diag. stage 4 NSCLC in June of 08. The Tarceva can give problems with rash etc...but try and stay with it as it has been great for Cathy!
Love to all and Thanks to God!

Hi Bill and Cathy, She's home again! Hooray for Bill. I am so pleased to hear of Cathy's wonderful news. I know Cathy you didn't know Bill has been home pining for you since you left him, poor guy. He is the best is all I can say. I hope your visit home was wonderful.
God bless you guys and keep the love alive we all need more of both on here, John

Congrats Cathys and keep us update.
My wife is nscls also taking Tarceva 150mg/daily since June 2009 and so far so good.
Do you have side effect of losing appetite? my wife does and we're struggling to find the foods that she likes to eat. Some suggests Megace (Cheryl in this web) and we still wonder should or should not. Oncologist seems not knowing well about nutritions so we love to learn from you all out there..
Thanks.

Fantastic news!! A great way to start out in November - Lung Cancer Awareness month - with a great report from a survivor! Keep on kickin butt! I am also on Tarceva and had a great report last week. Tarceva rocks!!!! Pat

Cathy has not had a loss of appetite, actually, other than a rash that she still has on her face, she deals well with thte Tarceva. Everyone is different and we have to find ways to best deal with things. Lots of good advice here, just look up tarceva.

Love to all and God Bless.
PS: John, yes my friend you are right I am so happy to have her back here and find I don't even miss falling asleep with the TV on and eating chips and other junk food till 1 in the morning...."well, maybe a little!"

That is great news!!!!!
