Can't Claim NED yet

0 Recommendations

I can't claim NED yet, I even asked. They saw a hazy image in my left lung (still find it amazing that my lower lobe filled in where my upper lobe was), but it could just be left overs from radiation (that ended July 1) or from a bad head cold I am just getting over. It was in a straight line so more then likely residual from the radiation. AND their is fluid around my heart. So I get to see a cardiologist for an ECHO. So now I have an oncologist, cardiologist, urologist, proctologist, gynecologist and a podiatrist. Add on to that a dentist ant that is 7 "ist" that I know have. I know this isn't perfect news, but it's not "worst" new. I go back in a month for a x-ray and two months for another CT scan. I am trying not to let this get to me, but damn, I wanted that NED so flipping bad. Well, there is always next time. Think I will take a hot bath, listen to Misko play the piano and just relax.

Blessings,
Barb

Enjoy your nice hot bath, you deserve it, like you said at least is was NOT bad news, could have been much worse. Well I guess you will be busy visiting all your ologists!! Just relax for now, Huggs, Karen

Hi Barb,

Well it is not bad news. Looks like they are just being cautious. I also have fluid around my heart and have a cardiologist. I was going to have this procedure done were they inserted a tube to have the fluid drain for a couple of days. I ended up not having this done because of another problem, but they said that the fluid was a lot less. The dr.'s are not sure why or how this happened.
I will make sure to pray a little harder in 2 weeks when you get your ct scan. :)
Gos Bless,
Barb

Oops I meant to write 2 months.

Dear Barb:

Having scans when you're sick will make all sorts of crazy stuff show up on their reports. Believe me, I just had one and it isn't the first time.

BUT I have to say, nothing is glowing, so thats a HUGE +++++++ And I like that. It definitely calls for a ********Happy Dance *********** for you for now.

Wow, all the doctors you have to see!! Do you put all their names in a hat and draw one to see which one you are going to next? OK, MY BAD, but that's what I would do. Oh they would HATE me. Their office would call and I would tell them that I didn't draw their name yet :)

No doubt you have all your ducks in a row and will take care of business very well. Nice hot baths are one of my little pleasures too, but honey, "Don't Stop Believing."

Much Love,
Marylou

OK Barb, you listen to Marylou! She's speaking the truth. You have come along way my friend. Don't let the test monster get you down. They are all trying to get you alone with them because you're so cute! Otherwise they think you have some good chances to beat all this crap and come out the other side better than ever. I'd still go with the cute stuff. Make them work for your smile. My prayers are with you, God bless, John

Hang in there Barb. My sister goes for her latest PET scan results Wed. How I would love for them to say NED. Will see.

Dear Barb: With all those "ologists" looking after you, nothing will get past them. It sounds like you are being well taken care of. Hang in there! Sending prayers and positive vibes your way.
Blessings!

Thats the spirit Barb, get on with things, go and play your music and take that hot bath, life has really left you with too many blows and way too many doctors. I know what you mean by that. I went from no doctors to flooding the gates with them now, and me too a dentist I need, and am going tomorrow. Not for anything heroic here, i just have a cap that has decided to come loose in the front, if it was the back of my mouth I would let them all fall out like 3 or 4 already did.. I have no intention of having all of my teeth fixed now!
take it easy and get well!
God bless Sandy

it will be NED

Barb,
Hang in there. I know this is easier said than done, trust me, I get my results tomorrow and although I have so much support from all of you, I am still scared to death. Did the drs. say anything to you about this being related to your cold as far as the hazy image? I remember Mary Lou saying something to this affect on one of her scans.
Well, with all those drs., it sounds like you have all your bases covered. It doesn't sound like they are going to let anything slip by. Hold on to that positive attitude and you'll pull through. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Take care. Karen

Karen,
Will all my doctors I have more then all my bases covered, I have every opening in my body covered LOL.

My hazy image MIGHT be from the radiation. It was in a straight line so I am leaning that way.

I did my ECHO today and hope to get the results back tomorrow.

I was more upset last night over all this then I even realized. I couldn't sleep and by 4am decided to just get up. Not a good thing to do when you have to be at work by 8am. Called in to let them know I was going to be late because around 7:00 decided that I should really go back to bed. I slept until 9 when the onc office called with my appt.

So that was my day

Blessings,
Barb
