CANCER BREAK THROUGH IN CANCER CURES

2 Recommendations

Last night on abc local news here in Tampa there was a news story about a doctor who has discovered that heart hormones can completely distroy cancer cells in 97% of cancers - including lung cancer. You can view the news video at www.abcactionnews.com/content/health/default.aspx. You will see 'VIDEO' Health New Cancer Cure.

Dr. Vesely has experimented with mice and has been very successful. The heart hormones actually make the cancer cells explode in 24 hours. Check the site out for yourself. He is now looking for private funding to proceed with human trials.

Hey Janet,

Wow! That sure is amazing news. Now, if only this doctor could get the money needed. To be able to start testing his heart hormones, on humans with.

Did you hear him say at the end, "It makes me cry, to have people begging me to help them, and I can't do it, yet." What a wonderful doctor/man and now scientist he is.

I hate to think about it, or say this. But, I sure hope the drug companies don't do things to stop him. There is far too much money for them to loose, if a cure for cancer came about.

You know. Just like we most people believe, what the gas people might do, if we find alternative fuels to run our cars with.

I so pray that this doctor has found a true cure for cancer. This blows my mind. Thank you kindly, Janet. I mean, for your post here. This is really worth knowing about.

You take care, now. Gentle hugs to you.

Love Ya,

Rosie

Wow, Janet,
Great catch on this one! I hope there are some nerds out there getting some serious funding to follow up on this and get it into production!!!!

I am gonna send some big splendiforous hugs to go along with Miss Rosie's gentle ones!

Pat

Hi Janet,
Thank you......hopefully, with major network and internet coverage funding will come quickly for this project.

I am glad you all are as excited about this news as I am. I also heard on tonight's national news that some where in the north (may have been Mich.) researches are working on taking white blood cells from people who are not pron to get cancer and injecting them in cancer patients. They they have found out how to test people who will not get cancer. They have injected mice with cancer cells and the mice have not gotten cancer when they were injected with white blood cells from those who will not get cancer. Also, sounds interesting.

Thanks for the hugs; right back at you.

i wish that what this doctor is saying would work my wife has small cell lung cancer and now has spread all over her body her liver her intestins her bones and brain this is some bad stuff i am tiered of watching her suffer

Jr1,

Cool and would you please go over to my house on Cordelia Street and see if I left the lights on! Grandpa left me that house and I am lookiing for a buyer.

In a recent videocasr done by NBC News, Dr. West said that he believes a cure for all forms of lung cancer already exists and it sits in a lab ready to go but because of a lack of funding and the slowness of the FDA, it may not reach cancer patients for another 10 years.

If true, the the FDA deserves a swift kick in the ass!

We all hope this works but in vitro and rodent studies are not good predictors of what happens in man. This is very early in development and unfortunately very few ideas eventually become drugs because they either fail in efficacy or safety. I've heard that at this stage of development only 1 in 10,000 potential drugs ever work.

Hi Janet,

I just watch the video. It sounds so promising for all who have cancer. 97% cure rate, that is amazing.

I could not find story at link provided. But I did google story from Feb 28 about the heart hormone cure at http://www.healthfinder.gov/news/newsstory.asp?docID=613068

The research has funding, but the report cautions that much more research is needed.

"THURSDAY, Feb. 28 (HealthDay News) -- New research offers early evidence that hormones produced by the heart to control both blood pressure and volume could be harnessed to treat -- and possibly cure -- a wide range of cancers.

Following a month of intravenous treatment with any of four human cardiac peptide hormones, mice engineered to develop human pancreatic and breast cancer experienced dramatic results: On average, 54 percent of those with breast cancer and 37 percent of those with pancreatic cancer were cured, without tumor recurrence or treatment side effects.

Even tumor shrinkage among non-cured mice was striking, with size reductions of 90-plus percent. And a more detailed analysis, hormone-by-hormone, revealed even stronger anti-cancer properties among certain hormones. In such best-case scenarios, the most effective hormones provoked full tumor elimination -- without surgery, chemotherapy or any other additional treatment -- in two-thirds of the mice with breast cancer and 80 percent of the mice with pancreatic cancer." More info is given at above URL.

Hi Janet,
This is the link that I have seen.

Hi Elly-Mae,

You did a better job in finding where the video had been moved. Thank you!
For those who have not seen the video, click on the web site on the post above this one. Once the page comes up, click on the screen to the right titled 'Health: New Cancer Cures'.

Thanks again, Elly-Mae.

Janet

"Human trials -- funded by the private San Diego-based firm Kalos Therapeutics -- are to begin within 12 to 18 months. If all goes well, Vesely predicted that a hormone treatment could become available within three years."

I typed "Vasely and cancer" into aol search engine and read an article that said that treatment ( if it works) could become available in 5-10 years.
