REPOST...from MariasFriend

Hi Abhinj,
For Dr. Budwig, I use 1/2 cup either low fat cottage cheese or low fat plain yogurt, and 2TBS flax oil or 4TBS ground flax seed - either type or a mixture of both.

With the cottage cheese, I use instead of salad dressing, or mixed with cinnamon and chopped fruits. With the yogurt, I place in blender and add flax (either oil or seeds or both) and blend w/ various veg. & fruits. e.g.
1/2 c low fat yogurt
flax oil,
1/2 handful spinach
3-4 baby carrots
1/2 handful chopped cabbage
1/2 handful florets of brocoli
1/2 med. banana
4 strawberries
some blueberries
1/2 peach or any other fruit
1 scoop "Amazing Greens" - contains wheat grass, and many other greens
3/4 scoope Whey protein
Add ice if you like
cover with low fat milk, or soy, or part pomegrante juice and part milk.
Blend and you have a wonderful, delicious and nutritious meal. You can vary ingredients.

I've been doing this for 4 years now. At the beginning I was very strict with myself, i.e. no meats, no sugars, no whites. For deserts, I made them myself using fruit as sweetners. I'm more lax now, and have meat and deserts occasionally, but still stick to it 85- 90% of the time. Most of my meals are vegetarian. When I focus on alkalizing, I can't tell you the difference it makes. I really believe diet makes a big difference. I also make a drink (which I vary a bit as well). e.g. Using a liter, 75% is water, juice of one fresh lemon, 1 ounce of mangosteen juice and the rest pomegrante and a splash of pineapple juice. Delicious and refreshing.
I drink a large cup of tea (16-20oz) in the evening, usually one bag green tea and add either ginger or mint tea, and a third bag depending on amount of water, which may be orange spice, chai, or whatever you fancy, but always with green tea.

I also take vitamins and supplements. Calcium is high ph, so that s/b taken with vit. D3. I also take more greens in supplement form.

You have to be patient. Stick with the program and you'll feel the difference. It doesn't happen overnight, but over time, sometimes days or weeks or months, depending on how severe your discomfort is, but you will feel a difference. Now, whenever I start feeling bad, I focus on being strict with my diet and alkalizing more strongly.

I hope this helps you and others on this site. Over time I have made changes and adjustments (e.g. now I add the greens and whey to my drink). I hope my journey will help others. I don't believe in "just eating anything" so you maintain weight. That's what many doctors tell you, and it's so wrong, as when you have those sugar calories, you are feeding the cancer and shortening your life. When we pass, our bodies are acidic, which is what cancer thrives on. Go Alkaline. Go for life. My motto "Live like you have a future."

Wow, that is a lot of information. I will be printing this off and trying it. My biggest problem is the meat thing. I am trying to cut back on red meat, using more chicken and fish, but we have red meat about 4 times a week.

I love your motto, think I will put it on my wall at work.

Blessings,
Barb
