Barney passed away

Greetings everyone,

That is the most surreal statement that I have ever made.

He died peacefully at home with his family and friends
on Monday June 15th at 3:40 PM.

Today is Fathers Day and our boys are having a very difficult day today.

Myself, I am stuck in this state of "limbo". Numb. Denial. Shock. Why can't I feel something?

I want to extend my deepest gratitude for all of the support that we both have received from each and everyone of you. I love all dearly and will continue to garner support from everyone here.

It has hit me now that the "flurry" of activities is now over.

I miss my Barney. The one before the SCLC. Brain mets are horrible.

Anita - I'm so sorry for your loss. Take a deep breath, hold on to your boys. Grief rolls over us in waves, some huge, some not so big. Roll with them. You can get through this. It's very hard, but it can be done.

So sorry to hear that Barney has lost his fight but he is now at peace. Embrace the numbness, it wears off and then the tears will come. Will be praying for you.
