Aronia Berry

0 Recommendations

My PCP wants me to try Aronia Berry and even gave me a free bottle of it. The nurse told me that it taste pretty bad and to mix it with something. Any ideas and how bad does this stuff taste?
Also, any contradiction taking it with Nature Blessed Cherry Juice concentrate?

All dark colored berries are high in antioxidants. I read where this berries actually went to testing on preventing colon cancer. Good for the gastro, uterine systems. Take care, JC

I would put it in a smootie with some fresh fruits.
Let us know how you end up taking it.

I remember last year when my husband was in chemo his Dr advised him against using any supplements. We had been taking Noni juice at that time. She said she didn't know how it would interact with chemo. I was kinda glad she said that becasue that is the worst tasting junk I have ever tasted!! LOL.

Tazzy,
My onc said the same thing. She didn't want me doing any supplements while on chemo. As she explained it many treatments are found in nature, she told me of one of the chemos comes from the bark of some tree (wish I could remember).

And I did the berries yesterday with about 10oz of water, it wasn't bad, just like a very weak, unsweetened juice.

Never heard of that particular berry, but would you mind posting the exact company's name and/or website? Oftentimes the berries are mixed with other vitamins that may not be good for lung cancer .... Do you have a list of all the ingredients and their percentages? It does make a difference. I'd be interested in reading about it. I take quite a few berry extracts. They are great.

The only ingredient is Aroniaberries. They are distrubuted by Mae's Health in Omaha, NE. Their website is superberries.com.

Hope that helps,
Barb
