Adrenal tumors

0 Recommendations

I had a scan yesterday that showed I had adrenal tumors on both glands. I had them 2.5 years ago when first diagnoses and they were negative on PET scan . Now they have grown.

Would anyone who has experience with this please share with me. I am terrified of course. thank-you.

Marion,
I'm sorry to hear that, what did the doctor say? I've had a spot that has been showing up on one of my adrenal glands for awhile now. How often have you been getting scanned? My prayers are with you.
Tina

Tina, I am so happy to hear from you! I hope you are doing ok. You have been so strong through all your trials with this.
I have been scanned once a year but mainly had Chest x-rays. the good newws is that my lung and all other organs look great. They scan both my chest and abdomen.

I will get more tests. There are a ton of different tumors that are benign but the adrenals are also very common spread site I am told. I guess since I had these 2.5 years ago and they didn't show cancer then, I'm wondering if they can turn cancerous? At any rate they have enlarged significantly so we have to do something.

I will keep you posted.

Big Hug and hope it not too cold in good ole Maine! Love , Marion

Dear Marion,
Please keep us updated on your situation. You have been my inspiration for my Dad. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Marion,

I get a chest, abdomen and pelvic scan every three months. Hopefully if that spot on my adrenal becomes active they'll see it in time to do something. Although I don't look forward to another surgery I would go that route again just to get it out of there. My first Oncologist never recommended the aggressive treatments I've chosen to do because it was his opinion that I was stage IV and incurable. Well maybe so but I just can't accept that and sit back and let it take me without a fight.

We're starting to get some cold weather, we had a lot of rain and wind here Saturday. I really dread the cold.
Keep me posted, I'll be praying for you.
Your Sister Mainiac,
Tina

thanks so much Tina! I know the Maine winters very well. I hope you guys are spared this winter.

We are still doing tests to see if the tumors are benign or not. I will need biopsy too I suppose.

I wonder if cyberknife works?

At any rate, I just got a wicked cold and am on antibiotics right now so can't do anything for a few days. I need a break!
Be good and I keep you posted. Love, Marion

Ron's daughter, thanks so much. I don't know what this is or what will be entailed I will keep you posted.
