Acupuncture points you can massage anywhere!!!

Hi,
My name is Samina, I am an acupuncturist and nurse. For the next few weeks I will be posting "Acupuncture Point of the Week". These are points that can be massaged to support various conditions.

Let's start with the famous PC 6. I say famous because so many people have become aware of how effective this point is for releif of nausea and vomiting. In addition PC 6 relaxes the mind, chest, & stomach.

Locating the point PC 6:
Start on your right arm.
1. Place your hand with palm facing up
2. Locate your wrist crease
3. Using the width of your thumb-place your thumb at the center of your wrist crease
4. Count two thumb widths, moving proximal (towards the elbow)
5. The point is here in the open space between the two tendons in the middle of the arm

Massage this area counterclockwise for 3 to 5 minutes as needed on both arms, starting with the right arm.

Deep (into the bottom of the belly), slow breathing concurrenlty also helps a lot.

Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions-I am here for you.
