I was shocked at my elevated PSA readings over such a short period of time. in Dec 2008 my PSA was 1.5 and 5 months later 3.9 which lead to a biopsy in June 2009.
Findings were a 3-5% concentration of cancer in one of 12 samples taken. Gleason 6.
Given my family history with Cancer I immediately wanted this "out of my body" but over time I have opted for a second biopsy in Dec 2009 before Opting for removal.
I would be interested in anyone having experience with IMRT (3D Intensity modulated radiotherapy or Proton Beam Therapy or any other alternative treatment.
