Then come walk with me a mile
And remind me of the joys of life
That always make me smile.
You need not know the perfect words
Nor special things to do
It is enough you walk beside
And I'll gain strength from you!
For I've learned my cancer journey
Is a lonely place to be
When I seek to walk its many paths
With strength from only me.
Then when my journey seems too long
And coldness fills the night
Your friendship warms my heart and soul
Renews my will to fight!
So walk beside me for a while ~
It needn't be all the way
God molds your love into a gift
