about me

I was diagnosed with AML in Sept 2006 after going to several doctors who told me I had chronic fatigue syndrome. I am a nurse so I knew something else was wrong besides being a fat, lazy nurse. I finally couldn't eat anything and went to see a gastroenterologist who said nothing was wrong with my stomach, but I was critically anemic and turned me over to an oncologist. I was promptly sent to MD Anderson and was told on Nov 1 2006 that I was in remission, but continued with treatment for ten more months. I did not have a stem cell transplant and I work full time and am looking for someone else like me
