Weight, exercise, emotional stress and remissions...

Even though I have yet to find someone with the same diagnosis as I have (Fibrillary Glomerulopathy), I'm learning so much from all of you who are responding to my posts asking these types of questions. THANK YOU!

My neph doesn't want to subject me to the side effects of steroids because my particular disease does not seem to respond to them. I am taking Lisinopril for the protein spill and I have to go back in late November for some more blood/urine testing.

Here's my latest question for those of you who have achieved remissions - do any of you notice whether weight loss and/or the amount of exercise you do has any effect on the time it takes to get to remission or the duration of your remission? Before I received my diagnosis, I already had lots of weight to lose. I lost 40 lbs in 6 weeks when I first got the "wake up call" that my kidneys were spilling protein. Stress will do that to you! Which, by the way, is my other question; do you find that you relapse when you are under emotional stress? For almost a week, I had no bubbles - then had sort of a bad few days, and now bubbles are back... just wondering how these things affect everyone else. Thanks again for all of your responses! -Pam
