I saw my Neph. yesterday and am now more confused about the regime of medication that I am on. 2 weeks ago I had a good visit where my protein level was only a Trace, (first time ever) and at that point he lowered my dose of Prednisone from 40mg a day to 30mg a day. Now yesterday my protein level was 2+ again, but even though the level went back up, he lowered my Prednisone dose to 20mg a day to see if my protein level continues to climb. I have already been through this 40, 30, 20 and back to 40mg once.
So, my thing is does he really think it will be any different this time.
I know all of you are so much more informed about this stuff than me. I am only beginning to deal with the kind of things most of you have had to deal with for a long time. It just all seems to make no sense to me.
Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on? I would appreciate any help in understanding this crazy disease.
