2 1/2 yr old with hypertension???

At a Neonatal Follow up appointment this week, we discovered that my daughter (former preemie born at 26 week, 1 lb. 7 oz.) now 2 1/2 yrs old has high blood pressure. I suffer from this as well (since my pre-e with my last pregnancy) and my mother passed away at age 42 due to renal failure cuased by severe hypertension. We have been referred to a nephrologist but have not been scheduled for the appointment yet. I am just wondering if anyone else has a baby with high BP and if so, have you had tests done and have you found the cause? Her BP readings were averaging about 120/75. Thanks. Laura
