My feet are so swollen and I have nodules at the base of toes. I just feel like I'm falling apart, the pain is bad, and walking is nearing impossible. Just needed to rant a moment I guess. Thanks for the listen, Skeeter

Morning Skeeter! Can someone check on that for you to get some relief. Your Primary doc or someone. Keeping them proped is helpful. Good luck, let me know how it goes!
God bless

I know how you feel. My feet hurt alot too. I like to walk and I sometimes find it very difficult to do so. Hope you feel better. God bless you.
I know how you feel. My feet and ankles swell all the time. I have had my doctor check mine out and everything is ok. Some of us just have this problem.
See your doctor to make sure you don't have a problem that is causing them to swell, limit your intake of salt and processed foods. Stay off sodas they will make you retain fluid and they are not good for your bones. Elevate your feet. Sometimes I prop my feet up on the sofa to watch tv. Soak your feet, that also gives some relief. Hope this helps. God Bless You...KathyG
Hi, Dalia, Thank you for your reply. Today is better. First time I'm not in sever pain in 2 weeks. Hope your well also. well wishes , skeeter
Hi Kathy, It sure helps to have people who ask " how r u". For that thank you so much. I'm going to doctor in 2 weeks, so I hope something can be done. I hope you have a pain free weekend..... well wishes, skeeter
Hi Kathy....my feet are always hurting. I see a podiatrist so that he can cut off calluses that form on the balls of my feet. It feels like I'm walking on bone sometimes. I have also had foot surgery on my right foot...hammertoes and bunionectomy...back in 1990. I think I'm always going to have foot problems..well, not think...KNOW! I was dx'd with r/a in 1983 so I've had plenty of time to develop problems.
skeeter, I hope that you stay pain free. When your feet hurt everything hurts. Take care and God Bless..KathyG
Paula319, I'm sorry that you have R/A. I know that it is very painful. I hope hope that you get to feeling better. Some relief is better than none. The weather does not help. I live in North Carolina and our weather is never the same the humidity changes and constant temp. changes. That is hard on me and causes me problems. Take care of yourself and stay in touch..I care..God Bless You...KathyG.
Sorry your feet are swollen. That is no fun. My left foot tends to do that because I have a bone spur in my ankle. For months, my genius doctors tried to tell me it was achilles tendonitis which started in Jan. Now in October they finally xrayed my ankle and found the spur... so much for their medical practice... it seems like they could have xrayed it about 10 months ago! Put your feet up and watch your favorite kind of movie and be a lady of leisure until the swelling goes down! If it doesn't go see the doctor... sometimes they have things to do for it... my best advice that they gave me is RICE: rest, ice, compress and elevate. Ranting is good too!
Sorry to hear about your feet. Sounds like you need to stay off those feet for a while. I hate any lay down time i have to do due to RA but perhaps you could lay back in a recliner or prop your feet up on the couch and take in some t.v. time! I am thinking about investing in a recliner and sitting it by my 'puter! :)
Hope your up and about real soon,
SonjaEtc
Hi Sonja, I wish proping would help, went to doc friday and he put me on new meds, so I'm hoping it will help. But it will take 2 wks for it to get in system. But fingers crossed and the good lord willing and the creek dont rise it will help, LOL. Hope u get ur recliner and be a puter potato at times.... well wishes to u ,,,skeeter
I can completely relate to this. I wish I could post side-by-side pictures of what my feet look like before and after. My doctor put my on a diuretic to help with the swelling but it really didn't help much at all! I still wasn't able to fit into any of my shoes - even flip flops! I'm not sure if this is applicable or not, because I also have sarcoidosis which they believe has caused the arthritis, but my rheumatologist recently put me on prednisone. This drug has a lot of side effects, so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't really need it, but within 2 days my swelling went down so much. I've actually lost 20 pounds of swelling, which was mainly stored in my feet! It's the only thing that seemed to help for my swelling, so I thought I would share. Again, though, it's a pretty serious drug, so you would definitely want to discuss it with your doctor if you decided it was worth trying. For me, it's really been a life saver. Good luck!
Yup,I been there too.. I have found tho that ibuprofen does help with it some tho nothing really totally gets rid of the things we go thru...well I take pain pills too of course just like everyone else...
((hugs))
It's good to rant. That's why we are here. I just get upset at how my family doesn't believe how painful all this is. Sorry to hear about you feet and the pain. I know what you mean because mine goes from my feet to up my leg. It is awful painful. Hope you feel better.
Sorry about your swelling. Movement helps to push the fluid upward, after sitting too long. And avoiding fast-food / prepared foods / packaged food helps since it's high in salt. I hope this helps your feet to feel better.
