OXYGEN 24/7: Which is best, Concentrater or Liquid?

0 Recommendations

For the last 7 months I have been using a concentrater at home and tanks when I go somewhere. It just occurred to me to ask the people who will give me the pros & cons.on changing to liquid.

My oxygen company gave me a video to watch and I was intimidated. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks, carosu

Carosu, I have oxygen 24/7 and I started out with the tanks for travel and concentrater at home. I find this to be very drying. I changed to the liquid oxygen. It does not dry me out like the other one did. Also the helios plus will last me about 6 hours compared to the 2 hours of the other. I do still use the concentrater at night. As for the money they cost about the same. Hope this helps. Have any questions that I can help you with just e-mail me and let me know. Take care. God Bless! Glenda

Thanks ggahwheeler, this was exactly the information I needed. I wake up dried out. The only other question I have is; Is the liquid easy to use? I do appreciate your help. carosu

You just fill the small tank from a larger tank that they bring to your house. They will come around and fill the larger tank up as you need it. The cost of the liquid is about the same as the other kind. I like it a lots better. Let me know what you decide to do. Take care. GOD BLESS! Glenda

Curious to know what the difference is. My dad is on oxygen 24/7. He has the machine he uses at night and during the day at home and the carry tanks during the day if he goes anywhere. If he places the carry tanks on a full oxygen stream rather than puff activated it won't even last 2 hrs. What is the liquid advantage and any idea if Medicaid has a problem switching?
