Tuesday, Jan. 29.

We got to sleep in, yah! Up at 7:30 and done with my oatmeal and donut by 8:30. We don’t have to leave for about 45 min. so I am watching Mondays (a week ago) general Hospital. With all the waiting we have to do today then I will be watching a few episodes. Oh the suffering! Not.

Wow is it ever windy out there. The schools here are closing at lunch. Nobody can figure out why they didn’t just cancel it like they did in Greenville. Wish I was home!
It’s 8:25 and they just called me in, early.

Rats, he wants me to get injections in the shoulder joint and in the rotator cuff. Yes there is arthritis and a bone spur with inflammation. The injection should take care of the pain and if it doesn’t he will give me a second one in the joint of the scapular bone. And therapy at home with ultrasound guidance. If in the long term this pain comes back he will remove the bone spur. (years down the road)

We are now in the Dept of Nuclear Medicine to have a bone scan. Our appmt isn’t till tomorrow but we are standing by. It is now 10:15 am. 11:30…12:00 noon they called me in for a 6 minute bone scan. Now we have decided to sit and wait for the spine consultation. 12:25…that didn’t last too long. We are scheduled for 3:30 this afternoon. So we are getting our 2:00 pulmonary appmt our of the way then hit the 3:30 one and have all of Wed. open. It is now 1:10…1:35…2:00…we’re in. Well, we have go lower the dose of prednisone to 30mgs every other day and take 2 inhalers. And a preventative antibiotic so I can avoid the thrush! He has scheduled me for a 6 minute walk test to get a baseline of my symptoms. Let’s hope. We are in the waiting room for the spine doctor. Its 2:25. I have now lost track of where I am supposed to be and what is happening. We got the appmt at 3:30 done and I have arthritis in my c2 thru c6 spine. Great. It sucks to be 50. Therapy is called for for that and for my slouching and for my pectorals. PT takes so much time!

We had pizza for supper and it was great. The weather is very blustery and snowy with a wind chill of –30! We are staying in and chillin’ (Randi, that pun was for you).

Tomorrow I only have the 6 minute test and then nothing else till Thrus. I don’t want to go sight seeing or shopping or anything that takes me out of my warm room….we’ll see.
