...Well hello friends, it's been a while since I wrote in this journal, but I thought it was time for an update. In my late entry I was hitting roadblocks like crazy. Now I seem to be on smoother roads. I've been living out on my own for the past 3 months in a 2bdrm apt., in a decent part of town. Right on a bus line too. Now being in my position, I'm able to use the "ParaTransit", which is a handicapped accessible bus, but I find the regular bus is cheaper. =) I'm getting help through the state for some things, but believe me, that took an arm and a leg to get started. I get around town quite well in my chair, but am looking forward to walking one of these days soon. In fact I just recently received leg braces and am going back into rehab on Monday for 2 weeks to learn how to walk again. !YAY! I'm getting feeling back in my legs and they are starting to function again. This is a most positive note, cause the doctors said I'd NEVER walk again, ever. What do they know? With God, good nutrition, and will power, I can't go wrong. I say this to those out there who are in my position, "Never give up, Never surrender". This makes #2 for me, I'm not done here yet, there's still more things I got to do. ...And proving it to myself that I will walk again once more is only one of them. Proving it to others, is another.
