I spoke with Bill twice today...
The first time he and middle daughter Melody (there are 3) were at the hospital, in the cafeteria, getting something to drink and snack on while waiting for Pat's double angiogram to be done.
Then, I checked with him later and learned that the procedure was done. The results...
They found that the aortic valve is indeed clogged - it's only open about 1/2 centimeter instead of the 1 to 2 centimeters they had thought. Plus, they discovered that there's an artery that is blocked and they are going to do a bypass when they do the valve replacement.
As to when the surgery will be done, they don't know, although they want to do it toward the end of next week. However, they're holding off until they see what Gustav is going to do - where he's going, etc. Right now this is considered to be an "elective" surgery.
Thanks for your prayers.
PJ
