About a month ago, I made an unexpected trip to the E.R., but I chose another hospital, not the usual one. In the old one, when I went in with symptoms, they would just excuse it as anxiety and send me off with no other tests.
I was getting concerned with slight problems that I was having, if they were heart related or not, and no one was listening. So I chose another hospital, and was I ever surprised. I had shortness of breathe, and lightheadedness.
The doctor that admitted me was a woman doctor, and the first thing that she said to me was...since I was a heart patient, she wanted to run a series of tests just to rule out any heart problems, that she knew women have different symptoms and she also was a heart patient...
So, I was admitted for the weekend, and on monday a stress tests was run, (One I have never had). So all the tests were ran, and now I feel very confident that the symptoms that I have are not all heart related.
I do not get stressed out for days just not knowing if it is my heart or not. So everything is fine, I have finally had a checkup that counts after 9 years, and a doctor that spoke to me like I was actually in the same room with her, and not a ghost......
