Crazy sensation

0 Recommendations

Just recently, and randomly I have had a strange sensation and I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this. It is on my right side, upper chest. They only way I know to describe this is: if you have ever heard a baby or child "rattle" when they have a cold. I have random feelings like the rattling in my upper right chest. I had triple bypass Jan 2009. It doesn't hurt but feels strange and I find myself acting/feeling like I need to cough but there is no cough there. Crazy I know, but I also have been under a lot of stress at work this week and had some really intense back pains yesterday that kinda freaked me out. (presurgery pains) Anyway ... thought I would throw it out there and see.
Thanks!
Kelly

That does sound kinda strange. Could you have a rib moving around a bit? Otherwise, I guess, if it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Hi Kelly, I have no idea about the rattling, unless it really is fluid. Do you have any swelling? As for the back pain, if it feels like pre surgery pain, I'd sure get it checked out. I've had restenosis of two of the grafts (opened with stents and angioplasty)and have new blockages in smaller vessels since Feb. bypass. The angina I experience due to the new blockages and the ballooned artery usually involves that all too familiar back left shoulder pain I had before surgery. I don't want to scare you, but please get it checked out. Blessings, Allie

I appreciate the input! I have started to track the back pain on the calendar. I had my follow up stress test about a month ago, and it was all fine. But I agree, best to keep an eye on it. I didn't notice the "rattle" but a couple times today so that seems to be going away. I don't want to ignore, but I hat being hypersensitive to every twinge too. :)
Thanks for sharing your ideas with me!
Kelly

I too have experienced the "rattle" as you call it. It worries me when it happens but do intend to ask my cadiologist in Dec about it. I am 3 months post cabgx2 and other than still having some chest discomfort and now this lil rattle I feel great. If you find out anything please let me know. God Bless
