Changes in the Weather

0 Recommendations

I live in MN and our weather has been making some drastic changes from warm to cold, as of recently (it has been colder) I have noticed the same achy pain in my sternum (3x back Jan. 2009) as I had right after the surgery. Mostly notice it when rolling on my side in bed. Does anyone else notice a change in soreness with temp. changes?

Surgery Pain

Hi Chin-up. Not here in NV. But you live in MN, which gets winters more sever than AK, right!? Back in the day I spent a lot of time in the Twin Cities. My 1st trip it was -36F and the wind blowing at 45MPH... every bone in my body felt like it was cracking!

I've heard lots of people complain about old wounds acting up with the change in weather, and changes in barometric pressure seems to affect old bone injuries most. So, from that perspective it does make a certain about of sense to me.

Thanks Celeritas!

I do think your right. I hadn't noticed it at all until just the past week or so. And it is not internal pain it is soreness when I reach up and pull down or lay on my side or try to scoot myself over using my arms. It felt like that right after surgery while it was healing. Maybe I can use this to get a little Sunny-warm vacation! :)
