Body changes And Rehab

0 Recommendations

My husband has been having periods where he breaks out in a sweat several times during the day and even when he sleeps. He has no temperature but he feels clammy. Could this be one of his medications?
Also, he will begin rehab on Thursday. What all does this consist of and how often will he have to go? At the moment he is still weak and very tired allot.

Mindymork, the rehab is very important. Don't worry, they'll test his strength and start him out slow. When he gains strength they'll increase the work. He'll always be monitored, at several levels. Later on, when he's really feeling good he may want to break away and join a gym.

Breaking out in sweats. Me too sometimes. But I was doing this before my surgery. "Night sweats" was always my thing. In my case the cause is "unknown" -- just the way my body works. You should probably bring this up with your husband's doctor though, especially if its something new.

Hi Mindy mork, I think the sweats are due to the meds....I also get these....And have the fan goin geven when my poor family are cold.....Cotton sheets and PJ's are best....Invest in a small fan if you can as it helps me alot.....It's not a great situation but i prefer to have these instead of anything else.......

Rehab is very good....They are very supportive and gives you you confidence back as all the people are in the same boat....The staff are very well trained and know what they are doing....tHEY WILL not PUSH him past his limitations.....This is once a week....I know that partners are able to go along to the talks which is very benifical and put your mins at ease......

Please don't worry.....I have had 2 heart bypasses now and the Rehab Team have been life savers to me...They are also there to phone for support....Which i did this morning for 10minutes.......

Your husband will be fine.....His streangh will increase over time....I promise......

Yazz....xxxxx
