It Was a very busy week last week, with many trips up to Atlanta, and I have not kept up with the journal as well as I said I would:) Mostly I have been communicating with many wonderful people on the boards here when I have had the time. It is late Saturday night and I am still awake, so I will take a minute to update everyone.
Next week there will be more biopsies, the new doctor wants to look all the way down to belly, says he would not trust another doctors eyes, wants to see for himself.
It will be my "official" Staging, because new doc says the cancer has not been properly staged yet. Says he needs to determine depth of tumor into good tissue, and that other dr. didn't. I was told stage II but could be II, III or IV, will not know till after neck scan on Thurs. Good news is he says it is not on vocal cords at this point, it is just above pressing down!
Losing 3 lbs a week, even though at this point still eating a lot. I have heard everyone's advice that has undergone throat radiation here about feeding tube. so doctor wants place feeding tube at next set of biopsies.
Not looking forward to PEG tube thing, but docs worried treatment ahead will wear me down too much, so everybody pray fat thoughts at me :)
